The Story Behind the face area Trained at B.L.A. workshops with RADA and also at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Raquel is a performer with both training and experience. Noted for her principle role in Hairspray, Raquel continues to be deemed through the Guardian like a triple threat and something from the youngest UK talents available. Since the impressionable chronilogical age of three, Raquel Jones continues to be performing on stage growing up vocalist. At nine, she started picking up additional roles and appeared in shows at the Cartoon Club, Albany Theatre, Lewisham Theatre, National Theatre, Hackney Empire, and also the Blackheath Conservatoire. At twelve, she appeared as a singer on BBC’s prime time Saturday tv program. In 2008 during her performance of Dorothy in The Wiz though, that Raquel got her big break. A business scout spotted the performer in this Musical Theatre Assessment with YAP and helped her land the role a person can have. For 2 years Raquel played principle role, Lil’ Inez in the Westend musical, Hairspray, in the Shaftsbury Theatre. You may have also heard her on BBC’s Comedy Radio Sketch with Miss Jocelyn and Clive Swift, or seen her in youngsters in need of assistance (BBC), The Alan TItchmarsh Show (ITV) or Comic Relief (BBC). Whether she’s traveling across Europe of touring in the UK, Raquel Jones is really a musical force to become reckoned with and one performer who’s sure to catch your eye.
